Welcome to Lead Scout! We're excited to help you streamline your door-to-door (D2D) sales process. One of the key features that can enhance your D2D efforts is the ability to use tags.

Tags allow you to categorize homes and prospects based on specific criteria relevant to your business. In this guide, we'll walk you through the process of setting up tags tailored to your unique needs.

The Power of Tags

Tags are like digital labels that help you organize and identify homes with certain characteristics or potential needs. By assigning tags to homes, you can quickly access valuable information while out scouting D2D. For example, if you're a roofing company, you might want to tag homes with "Hail Damage" or "Insurance Claim" to prioritize your efforts.

Setting Up Your Custom Tags

To get started with tags in Lead Scout, follow these simple steps:

  1. Log In: If you haven't already, log in to your Lead Scout account.

  2. Open a prospect: Open any prospect on the map. If you haven't created a new prospect yet, just firmly tap on anywhere on the map and you'll have a new prospect.

  3. Scroll down to the "Tags" section: Here, you'll find an option to add your first tag.

  4. Create Default Tags: Type in your desired tag and tap "Create" to save that custom tag for your whole team.

  5. Rinse and repeat: Repeat this process for as many tags as you want to prefill for your account. Give each tag a clear and descriptive name. For example, if you're a roofing company, you might create tags like "Hail Damage," "Wind Damage," "Aged 3-tab," and so on.

  6. Save Your Tags: Once you've created your tags, be sure to save them.

Using Tags in the Field

With your custom tags set up, your team can now use them during scouting as they go D2D. Here's how:

  1. Select a Prospect: When scouting a home, select the corresponding prospect in your Lead Scout app.

  2. Add Tags: Within the prospect details, you'll find an option to add tags. Simply click on this option and select the relevant tags for that particular home, or create new tags on the go.

  3. Save: Don't forget to save your changes.

Making Door Knocking More Effective

By setting up and using tags in advance for your account, you'll make your teams D2D efforts more efficient and targeted.

Now, go ahead and set up your custom tags, and watch how Lead Scout transforms your D2D sales strategy for the better!
